Fees are a guide
The fees listed are provided as a general guide only and may vary depending on the length and complexity of your consultation.
The GPs practising at our clinic are independent practitioners and contractors who set their own fees and billing arrangements. For information about the fee that may apply to your appointment, please speak with your GP or our reception team, or visit your doctor’s individual webpage.
Why we charge a gap fee
As a locally owned GP clinic, the gap fee you pay helps us continue to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality healthcare. It supports qualified staff, appropriate medical equipment, secure and up-to-date technology, and timely access to our team.
It also allows us to offer longer, more comprehensive consultations. Our standard appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes, giving your GP time to provide thorough, patient-focused care.
Even with increased bulk-billing incentives, Medicare payments do not fully cover the cost of running a medical clinic and providing this level of care. Charging a gap fee helps ensure our practice remains sustainable and continues to serve the community.
Bulk-Billing concessions
We understand the financial pressures many families are facing. To help maintain good access to GP care for children in our community, we are committed to bulk billing children aged 15 years and under.
Pension card holders may be bulk billed at the discretion of the individual GP. Reduced gap fees are available for Health Care Card holders and other eligible concession card holders.
As each GP is an independent practitioner and sets their own fees, billing arrangements may vary.
Extended Medicare Safety Net – Covers 80% of fees
The Extended Medicare Safety Net may help reduce your out-of-pocket medical costs by providing higher Medicare rebates once you reach the yearly threshold.
Once your eligible out-of-pocket spending on Medicare-rebatable services reaches the threshold within a calendar year, Medicare may cover 80% of further eligible out-of-pocket costs.
For families, eligible costs can be combined for family members registered together for the Medicare Safety Net. Children may need to be added manually by the Medicare cardholder.
Annual Thresholds
| Category | Threshold |
|---|---|
| Concession cardholders and families receiving Family Tax Benefit | $861.20 |
| All other individuals and families | $2,699.10 |
You can check your Safety Net balance through your Medicare online account in myGov or by contacting Medicare. Registration must be completed by the individual or family and cannot be done by the clinic.
